Maryland Gubernatorial Candidate Wants Fossil Fuels
Ed Hale, a Democrat who switched over to the Republican Party in an attempt to unseat Governor Wes Moore, would like to see Maryland return to using fossil fuels. At a press conference this week at the shuttered Carroll Island Power Plant, Hale said the energy crunch the state is facing demands that plants be reopened for power…
“These plants that have been taken down – Gould, Chalk Point, Dickerson, Warrior Run – we have to reopen the plants and just get them open again and reenergize them. We should build more fossil fuel plants. We have a lot of fossil fuels here that burn a lot easier and cleaner than the old days.”
