Clemons Declares For District 1-A Seat

Kathy Cornwell

Three Republicans have now registered for the District 1-A Maryland delegate seat currently held by Jim Hinebaugh.  Hinebaugh announced he was not running for re-election this year. While no Democrats have yet filed for the seat, so far Dan Duggan, Tim Thomas, and now Reverend Ed Clemons, Jr. will compete for the vote. Clemons, who is the pastor of Emmanuel and Mt. Zion Churches, reside in the Town of Luke. District 1-A covers Garrett and portions of Allegany Counties.
