Ehrlich Weighs In On Redistricting

Kathy Cornwell

One of Maryland’s former governors is saying his part on the redistricting issue facing the state. Bob Ehrlich, a Republican who was governor from 2003 to 2007, said that despite what he says, Governor Moore has national ambitions and making the state all Democrat-represented is to his advantage. Ehrlich says the map, if passed, would still face a court challenge…

“The Democrats are clinging to their “protecting democracy” moniker, which is hilarious in this sense. They’re basically telling the Republicans to get lost, it’s Maryland, it’s a Blue State, we’re progressives, you’re nothing. Here’s our new map. Deal with it. It’s going to be 8-0.”
