West Virginia Primary Crowded With Candidates

The filing period to run for office in West Virginia’s May primary has ended. Overall, more than 2600 candidates have filed for office. In District 87, incumbent Delegate Gary Howell has filed for re-election. He is being challenged by Republican Charles “Dutch” Skaggs and Democrat Rebecca Holler. For District 88, Republican Rick Hillenbrand is running to retain his office, challenged by Democrat Dorothy Kengla. The state’s primary takes place Tuesday, May 12th.
