Funding For Mine Reclamation

The Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement has directed $120 million dollars toward abandoned mine reclamation across the country. West Virginia and Pennsylvania will be major recipients of this funding from the Interior Department. West Virginia will receive $13.7 million dollars while Pennsylvania is to receive $18.9 million. Other states targeted for funding are Wyoming and Illinois.
