The star of the Maryland House session on Wednesday was delayed by the unexpected arrival of US House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries.  Jeffries made the trip to Annapolis to speak personally with Governor Wes Moore and House Speaker Joseline Pena-Melnyk, as well as Senate President Bill Ferguson. Jeffries is pushing for a floor vote on the redistricting bill currently in the house.
