AARP Maryland’s Community Grant Challenge provides grants to nonprofits and local governments to make communities more livable for seniors. “Anything can happen at any time. It doesn’t matter where you live. Especially older folks, and a majority of people in our program live alone, and a lot of them don’t even live in community housing. They live in individual homes. They might have neighbors, but they’re there by themselves a lot.”
