ACPS Releases Updated School Calendar

Dr. Michael J. Martirano, superintendent of Allegany County Public Schools, has set June 10 as the last day for students, with teachers finishing on June 11. Martirano said that living in Western Maryland means agility is important in the management of the school calendar and virtual learning days. The final day for students will now be Wednesday, June 10th with Thursday June 11th the last day for teachers. Maryland law requires that students attend school for at least 180 days each school year.
