Former Corsa VP Convicted on Bribery Charges

The former vice president of Corsa Coal Corporation has been convicted in federal court for his role in a $140 million dollar bribery scheme with Egyptian government officials involving coal supply contracts. Charles Hunter Hobson was convicted on six counts and could face 45 years in prison. Corsa Coal had owned the Casselman Mine in Garrett County until 2025.
