City Police Report for Saturday

 

On March 6th, 2026 at approximately 1200 p.m., officers from the Cumberland Police Department responded to Dryer Avenue for an assault complaint. Upon arrival, officers made contact with two victims, who advised that they were assaulted by Justin Michael Demoss. One victim advised that they were threatened by a knife that Demoss had in his possession. The other victim had visible injuries consistent with their statement, that Demoss had struck them in the face with a closed fist. Demoss was subsequently placed under arrest and transported to Central Booking. He was later presented before a District Court Commissioner and remanded without bond to the Allegany County Detention Center.

CHARGES: Assault 1st degree, Assault 2nd degree, 2nd degree child abuse, Resisting Arrest, Obstructing and Hindering.

 

Warrant Served

 

On March 6th, 2026 officers from the Cumberland Police Department served a bench warrant on Patrick Kenneth Conners Sr. The warrant was issued as a result of Conners failing to appear for court on March 4th, 2026. Conners was transported to Central Booking. He was later presented before a District Court Commissioner and released on his own recognizance.
