Historian Present at Detention Center Meeting

Seating was limited for the open portion of Monday’s roundtable meeting concerning a federal detention facility in Williamsport. Governor Wes Moore and Congresswoman April McClain Delaney hosted the event where stakeholders from the area were invited. “One of the comments was by Mayor of Hagerstown, Bill McIntire. Although he said this was basically a federal decision, the City of Hagerstown does have questions and concerns pertaining to the impact on local infrastructure, water supply, public safety, first responders, the economic impact, transparency, process, and coordination.”
