Liability for Social Media Giants

In a landmark lawsuit about children being addicted to social media, YouTube and META have been found liable for negligence and failure to warn. In an interview with “The Big Money Show” on Fox Business, Stanford Medical Director of Addiction Medicine, Dr. Anna Lembke who testified at the trial says parents can’t be the only ones responsible for what children see online…

“No one is saying that parents don’t have some degree of responsibility – of course they do. But the point is it can’t be left up to parents alone. And that is essentially what the state of affairs has been.”
