Mini Grants Approved

The Canal Place Preservation and Development Authority met on Tuesday hear Updates on the River Park which is awaiting finalization of funding for sediment testing, Allegany County’s participation in the Maryland250 event for America’s birthday, and the planned bus trip to Dayton, Ohio for citizens to view the river park.  Three mini-grants were also approved – $4,000 for the Allegany County Farmer’s Market, $2,825 to the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad for America’s birthday themed merchandise, and $4,106 for the library system at Frostburg State University.
