West Virginia Attorney General JB McCuskey is joining other attorneys general urging the federal government to give state and local law agencies more authority over drones that are illegally dropping contraband into prisons. Drones have been used to deliver drugs, weapons, and cell phones and McCuskey says current federal law limits the ability of prison officials to respond. The group is asking the federal Task Force to Restore American Airspace Sovereignty to close that gap and allow stronger enforcement and prosecution efforts.
