Westernport Library Working Behind the Scenes

In Governor Wes Moore’s budget, the Allegany County Library system is to receive $1 million for the Westernport Library, but Ashley Swinford with the library recently told WCBC News that plans for the library’s future permanent location remain in a holding pattern.  Until then, the Westernport branch continues to work behind the scenes for the community and their library needs…

“There’s lots of things happening behind the scenes, but for now, you know, we’re still working on increasing services at the temporary location.  Still in the works getting the public computers working, the Wi-Fi, all that good stuff—again all just kind of behind the scenes.”
