CDS Possession Paraphernalia, Theft Arrest and a Bench Warrant

On Wednesday, April 8th, 2026, the Cumberland Police Department arrested Jamar Cordelle Peck, 28, of Cumberland MD. Peck was arrested on an active Bench Warrant issued by the Allegany County District Court on March 30th, 2026. The warrant alleges Dorset failed to appear in court on that date for previous charges including burglary, destruction of property, trespassing, and disorderly conduct. He appeared before a District Court Commissioner for an Initial Appearance and was released on a $3,000 unsecured bond. At the time of his arrest, Peck was also issued a Criminal Citation and served with a Criminal Summons. A Criminal Citation was issued when Peck was found to be in possession of suspected CDS paraphernalia. The summons was in reference to an incident that occurred on April 1st at a business in the 200 block of Greene St. During that incident, Peck allegedly entered the business, from which he had previously been trespassed, and took items without attempting to pay for it.
