City, County Working On Sewer Issue At Kelly Road

The City of Cumberland and Allegany County are working to locate what they think is a leak in the sewer line which is causing overflow underneath the rail bridge on Kelly Road. Mayor Ray Morriss told WCBC the City’s Engineer Bobby Smith and the County’s Adam Patterson, Director of Public Works, are trying to discover what the problem is…
“I can assure you that the top engineering minds of the County and the City are trying to figure out exactly what the fix is for that, but as it is right now what happens is it goes back in the sewer system at the drain underneath the CSX overpass there. So, we’ve been in communication with CSX and the County, and we’re working to figure out exactly what’s causing this situation to be able to fix it.”
