Humbird Street Assault Arrest

On Tuesday, April 14th, 2026, the Cumberland Police Department responded to an assault report at a Humbird Street residence. Upon arrival, officers contacted a female victim who advised that they had been involved in a verbal altercation in the home with a male subject. During the altercation, the male suspect walked outside and the victim locked the door. It is alleged that the suspect then kicked the door open and began to assault the victim, causing minor visible injuries. As a result of the investigation, Austin Michael Lee Mullan, 33, of Cumberland, MD, was placed under arrest. He appeared before a District Court Commissioner for an Initial Appearance and was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center. He is currently being held without bond.
