County Continues Water Bill Discussions with Coney

Water bill discussions continue between Allegany County and the Town of Lonaconing regarding the outstanding half a million dollars Coney owes.  Adam Patterson, Director of Public Works, says the amount has to do with the “transportation costs” of the water.  Coney has requested copies of signed agreement contracts as well as water meter readings from the County.  Patterson told the commissioners at Thursday’s meeting he could only find mention of agreements, but he is working on a list of meter readings…

“What I’m trying to do now is, then, we have all that information, I’m trying to put it into a very user-friendly format that then they can see how it backs up with against all these invoices.”
