Water Bill Dispute Continuing For Lonaconing

Recently, Lonaconing Mayor Jack Coburn joined WCBC to discuss some of the events happening in the town, and also shared more information about the water bill dispute that is ongoing between Lonaconing and Allegany County. Coburn said they know they owe for water, but parts of the outstanding balance in dispute are for something the town never agreed to pay…

“Where the problem is with that provided service at $17,415.40 a month is what they were trying to charge. We never agreed to that. We always agreed to pay for the water. That’s only the right thing to do.”
