Councilman Praises Code Enforcement

Cumberland Code Enforcement will be able to enforce stricter regulations involving high grass, junk, and debris on properties due to an ordinance the City passed in January.  The ordinance is just another step City Code Enforcement has made over the years, according to Councilman Rock Cioni who shared with WCBC News that he can attest to the improvements…

“Wasn’t that long ago that West Virginia University told us that we have something like 500 properties that cannot be rehabbed in the city, and the average home was built in 1914, 1920.  Our code enforcement people working with the County—hats off to the county.  Hats off to the city.  It’s changed dramatically just since I’ve been in City Hall.”
