WV Joins “A Home for Every Child” Initiative

West Virginia is participating in the national initiative “A Home for Every Child”, an effort aimed at improving outcomes for children and strengthening the foster care system.  The initiative seeks to increase the ratio of foster homes to children in foster care while giving states greater flexibility to modernize their child welfare systems, according to Governor Patrick Morrisey…

“We’re recruiting additional foster capacity for high needs youth, and strengthening coordination with placement providers to improve stability across the system.”
