Delaney Talks Supports For Water Takeover

As Allegany County’s leadership takes steps toward eminent domain for Maryland Water to hand over the Bel Air water system, aid from the federal level may become possible.  Once the water system is out of the privately owned company’s hands, Congresswoman April McClain Delaney told WCBC News she is ready to assist however she can in the process…

“I’m hopeful that they can take that by eminent domain and then the state, the Governor and I can do, maybe, a community project grant and help them buy this water system and take it over by the city so that these people who live in Bel Air have the same price structure as the rest of the town.”
