Unattended Death Investigation

The Cumberland Police Department and the Combined County Criminal Investigations Unit (C3I) are currently investigating an unattended death that occurred yesterday May 29, 2026, on Howard Street. This incident appears to be isolated, and there are no immediate concerns about any threat to public safety. No additional details will be released at this time until we receive the report from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore and complete our investigation.
