Governor Patrick Morrisey has signed two veteran-focused bills for West Virginia. The legislation strengthens protections for Purple Heart recipients by establishing enforcement penalties for unauthorized use of designated Purple Heart parking spaces and extends vehicle registration fee waivers to Gold Star parents.  Morrisey said all veterans would be cared for in the state…

“We want everyone to know that if you’re a veteran here in West Virginia, or quite frankly, if you’re a veteran across the country and you want to come to West Virginia, we’re going to treat you with respect, with dignity, and we’re going to say thank you for what you’ve done for our state and for our country.”
