TV Show Production Not Simple

This weekend, the final few production people who have been working on filming scenes for “The Mayor of Kingstown” will be headed back to Pittsburgh. Through the week, upwards of 500 people were in town for the production. Kelly Lynch, a railroad consultant for the film industry, tells WCBC a lot of logistics is involved in what’s called a company move…

“I mean, you’re talking about 500-plus people, all the trucks, all the equipment. You are essentially setting up a portable film studio for a week, which is no small task.”

Lynch said this set up was larger than most productions who only send about 50 people…

“Because this involves the principal cast, because it’s a major action scene at one point – so, they’re essentially taking over the station and because there’s special effects and stunts involved, you know it is a major sequence being shot here so it is a significant investment.”
