Governor Wes Moore announced the endorsement of local leaders all across Maryland who are running to finish the job we started by pushing back and pushing forward to lower costs, continue record drops in crime, and make our schools even stronger. “We have delivered enormous progress for the people of Maryland since taking office, but there is still more work to do, and these are the community leaders across the state who will help us finish the job,” said Governor Wes Moore. “In order to continue record drops in violent crime, keep lowering costs for Maryland families, and make our schools even stronger I need a team that will work day and night to build a Maryland that leaves no one behind. Alongside on another we will continue the work to ensure this is Maryland’s decade.”

“I am incredibly honored to receive the endorsement of Governor Wes Moore. Governor Moore is a true partner as we continue reforming the eviction process in Baltimore City,” said Baltimore City Sheriff Sam Cogen. “We share the same values of creating a fairer, humanized process that recognizes the dignity of the families who in so many cases, just can’t afford to make rent. In large part because of the Governor’s first term policies that I strongly supported, we have seen a historic 38% drop in evictions. I look forward to continuing our work in our next terms as your Governor and your Sheriff.”

“Governor Wes Moore is someone I deeply respect. His vision for Maryland’s future, especially when it comes to investing in our children and our public schools, is exactly the kind of leadership our state needs,” said Julie Hummer, Chair of the Anne Arundel County Council. “I’m honored to have his support, and I look forward to working alongside him over the next four years to continue improving our schools, lowering the cost of housing and investing in public safety.”

“Marylanders we may never meet in our lifetimes will be affected by the actions we take, or fail to take, in the next four years,” said Scott Goldberg, Candidate for Montgomery County Council At-Large. “The ethos of Leave No One Behind doesn’t have a timeline and if future generations cannot afford to live here, it’s our responsibility to make sure that they can and our fault if they can’t. Governor Moore understands this and I cannot wait to tackle this challenge head on, together.”

“Governor Wes Moore is someone I deeply respect and look up to as both a mentor and a leader, his vision for Maryland’s future, especially when it comes to investing in our kids and our public schools, is exactly the kind of leadership our state needs,” said Chad King Wilson Sr., Candidate for the Frederick County Board of Education. “I’m honored to have his support, and I look forward to working alongside him to make sure every student in Frederick County has access to a world-class public education and the opportunity to thrive.”

“Last year, I was one of the 250,000 black women that abruptly lost their job because of the Trump Administration. I wasn’t sure what to do or how I would survive, but Governor Moore put a plan in place to make sure I did. He was there for me then, and he’s still here for me now,” said Shernice Mundell, Candidate for Harford County School Board, District A. “I know first-hand what Governor Moore has done for the people of this state, and I’m honored to have his support as I run for School Board in Harford County.”

“I am honored to have Governor Moore’s endorsement. The Governor is a bold leader and exactly what our state and local communities need,” said Drew Morrison, Candidate for Montgomery County Council District 1. “I have been proud to work with him on key priorities like advancing job creation and building housing near transit. I will bring that same focus to the County Council to partner with Governor Moore as we make our community more affordable and rebuild Montgomery County’s economy in the wake of federal cuts.”

Since taking office, Moore has cut taxes for the middle class, brought Maryland’s unemployment rate to a record low, and made communities across the state safer. The Governor knows there is still work to do, and it’s why he is running for re-election to continue his mission of building a Maryland that leaves no one behind. Earlier this year, Governor Wes Moore announced his 2026 reelection campaign in Maryland, pledging to continue his promise to use bipartisan solutions to build a Maryland where no one is left behind–even amidst the dysfunction and chaos coming out of Washington. The governor will continue to monitor and evaluate races across the state while working with leaders across the state to lower costs, continue record drops in crime, and make our schools even stronger. In January, Moore-Miller for Maryland announced a record-breaking fundraising year of $7 million–the most ever raised in an off year in Maryland, and the campaign currently has a staggering $7.6 million cash-on-hand. To date, the American Federation of Government Employees, Maryland League of Conservation Voters, Maryland REALTORS®, Maryland International Association of Fire Fighters, Maryland’s largest union, the Maryland State Education Association, Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 500, as well as Democrats and Republicans from across the state have endorsed Governor Wes Moore for reelection.
