WWII Veteran To Sing Anthem At Orioles Game

Known for his singing of the national anthem at several events in the region, a 103-year old Veteran of the Battle of the Bulge will be hitting the big time when he sings the song at Camden Yards July 11th before the Baltimore Orioles baseball game. Jack Myers of Hagerstown served as a gunner in the army during World War II with the 692nd Tank Destroyer Battalion and received a bronze star. Dave Carroll with Younger Toyota is married to Myers’ great niece – he says Myers defies his age…
“I know he’s out and about a lot. They took him back to Normandy and in fact when they did that a couple guys were still around. He’s done some different things.”
