Criminal Summons Served Assault, Malicious Destruction of Property, Disorderly Conduct
On Monday, June 15, 2026, the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons on James Kinnison. The summons was issued as the result of an incident that occurred on June 6, 2026 at approximately 4:33 PM when officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to the 400 block of Virginia Avenue for an assault. When officers arrived, they observed a male subject restraining another male subject who was later identified as James Kinninson. Police contacted the alleged victim who reported that he was assaulted by Kinnison. Police learned that Kinnison had also damaged the victim’s vehicle. Police filed for charges against Kinnison at the District Court of Allegany County. He was released pending trial.
