Frostburg to Hold Special 250th Celebration this Weekend
The City of Frostburg is hosting a full weekend of events to celebrate America250, including a pool party, the annual Frostburg Elks Soapbox Derby, and a special 250th Anniversary Concert at Hoffman Park. The Independence Run 5k returns to the Frostburg Depot, and the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad will run several Freedom Sundae Ice Cream Trains to wrap up the weekend. “We’re kicking off on Friday with an all-day event called Stars and Stripes and that’s going to be an all-day shopping event. All of our businesses are going to have specials geared toward celebrating the 250, celebrating summer, and also geared towards our own local history.”
