Help For Fireworks-Fearful Pets

Each year, countless numbers of pets go missing around the 4th of July because of fireworks. The noise an lights can scare a pet into panic, making them run away. Keeping pets inside is the best idea, but even then they may need extra support. Jen Lohin from Uptown Hound in LaVale tells WCBC there are options to keep pets calm during celebrations…
“We have thunder shirts, we have pheromone collars. We do have all natural treats, everything from melatonin, colostrum, different CBDs even for the pet. Different things maybe if you do have some neighbors that are enjoying some fireworks right next door. Just to help the pets adapt and deal with it a little bit better.”
