Cumberland Main Street Looking At Business Needs

Through a grant from Maryland’s Department of Housing and Community Development, Cumberland Main Street brought in a consultant to conduct a Real Estate Development Plan. Main Street Manager Melinda Kelleher updated the Mayor and City Council at a recent meeting on five catalyst properties the plan highlighted, such as the former WheelzUp and Possibility Shop locations.  Kelleher said the development plan showed types of business the downtown needs…

“We’d like to see a men’s clothing store, we would like to see some more, kind of, gift type shops.  We’d like to see a shoe store.  You know, there’s some things like that that we all know we’d love to see.”
