Criminal Summons for Theft

On July 7th, 2026 the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons on Travis Vaughn Shaffer. The summons resulted from an officer’s investigation into a theft that occurred at a business on Park Street. The officer reviewed video surveillance of the incident and positively identified Shaffer from previous encounters. The officer filed charges against Shaffer. Shaffer signed for his copy of the summons and was released pending trial in District Court.
