Colwell Appointed to District Court

Governor Wes Moore’s office announced today that Jessica Colwell has been appointed to the open position of District Court Judge for Allegany County. Colwell was in the running for the post with a number of other candidates. She was the sole female. Colwell has been a public defender for twenty-five years. For the past five years she has served as the District Public Defender for Allegany and Garrett Counties.  She is assuming the post of Jack Price who recently retired.
