City Getting Input on Film Ordinance

Rather than try to reinvent the wheel, the City of Cumberland is doing some checking around before coming up with a final version of a city ordinance for future TV or movie productions that may want to shoot in the area. Mayor Ray Morriss tells WCBC they have talked with the state film commission as well as looked at other areas to see what they are doing…

“The city staff had reviewed other ordinances in municipalities, both larger and smaller than us that already have ordinances like this. So we developed one that sort of fits into a community of our size.”
