City Administrator On Safety Protocols At City Hall

“We do have film in the building however it does recycle itself after a certain period and our cameras don’t have sound and what we’ve just realized is that a couple of our cameras in the lobby are obscured by the flag display we have. So, we’re revamping to try to figure out how we can keep the flags and have cameras at better angles.”

Silka said there will also be a change for city employees dealing with the public…

“What we’re going to do is we’re going to have staff never alone with people coming in who we’re not familiar with or that we’ve had issues with. But what we want to do is make sure City Hall is a safe space for our constituents, residents, and our staff.”
