Sales Tax Holiday Coming in August

Maryland Comptroller Brooke Lierman announced that the annual sales tax holiday will take place between August 9 and August 15.   The state sales tax will not be charged on items such as qualifying clothing, footwear, and backpacks.  The tax free holiday is open to everyone who shops in Maryland during the second week of August.
