No Decision At Solar Farm Hearing

The Allegany County Commissioners remain opposed to the proposed solar project at Helmstetter’s Curve and continue to actively participate in the Public Service Commission’s review process.  The first contested evidentiary hearing was held Tuesday regarding the proposed project. During the hearing, the applicant, DNR Power Plant Research Program, and PSC Staff Counsel presented their cases.  The matter was continued until at least September to allow Allegany County to present evidence and recall all prior witnesses for cross examination.  The hearing did not result in a final decision on the proposed project. The matter remains ongoing before the Public Service Commission.
