Arrest Warrant for Burglary, Assault, Disorderly Conduct and Theft

On Monday, July 20th, 2026, the Cumberland Police Department arrested Patrick Michael Whiteford, 30, of Lutherville MD. Whiteford was arrested on an active Arrest Warrant issued by the Allegany County District Court for an incident that occurred on December 11th, 2023, in the area of Queen City Dr. During that incident, Cumberland Police responded to the area for a report of an attempted robbery. Upon arrival, officers contacted the victims who advised that a male subject had approached them while they were walking in the area. They advised the male subject then attempted to forcibly steal items they were carrying after exiting a nearby store. Officers also spoke to other witnesses and obtained video surveillance of the incident which led to Whiteford’s identification. As a result of the investigation, police filed an application for charges and obtained a warrant for Whiteford’s arrest. Whiteford appeared before a District Court Commissioner and was released on a $2,500 unsecured bond.
