On Friday, July 31, 2026, Cumberland Police Department Officers served a criminal summons on Daniel Fiddes. The summons was issued as a result of an incident that occurred on July 11, 2026, where it is alleged that Fiddes entered a store in the 700 Block of Park Street and left without paying for several items. Fiddes was served with the summons and released pending his trial.
