Messiah Christian Academy Announce Agreement to Purchase Frankfort Intermediate School

Messiah Christian Academy (MCA) is pleased to announce that an agreement to purchase the former Frankfort Intermediate School (FIS) has been reached with the Mineral County Board of Education. On August 3rd at their regular scheduled meeting, the board voted unanimously to convey the divided 7.06-acre parcel of land, building, and contents to MCA. This development is part of the Academy’s vision to expand Christian education throughout Mineral, Hampshire, and Allegany (MD) counties, and to use the former FIS property to renew its purpose by providing education for years to come.

Daniel Thompson, Administrator said “The Lord is guiding this ministry, answering our prayers, and inspiring us with a renewed passion for providing quality Christian education.”

Messiah Christian Academy has completed its first year at Holy Cross United Methodist Church in Carpendale, WV. Carpendale has been a wonderful setting for MCA. Preparations for the 2026-2027 school year are currently underway. The school will open at Holy Cross on September 8th.
