City Police Report for Saturday

On Friday, August 14, 2026, Cumberland Police Department Officers were on patrol in the area of Queen City Drive when they observed a male trespassing on the train tracks. Contact was made with Robert Clay, who was then placed under arrest. Clay was later released on scene with a criminal citation pending his trial.

 

ARRESTED: Robert Dale Clay, 58, Cumberland, MD.

CHARGE: Trespassing Posted Property


Adult Arrest

 

On Friday, August 14, 2026, Cumberland Police Department Officers were on patrol in the area of Mechanic Street when they observed a male littering in front of a business. Contact was made with Jeremiah Tigner, who was issued a citation for littering and released. Later in the day, Tigner was again observed littering. He was then arrested and issued a second citation for littering. Tigner was released pending his trial.

 

ARRESTED: Jeremiah Robert Tigner, 48, Cumberland, MD.

CHARGES: Littering (x2)

 

Summons Served

 

On Friday, August 14, 2026, Cumberland Police Department Officers served a summons on Brittany Washington. The summons was issued from an investigation related to theft and fraud. The summons alleges that Washington came into possession of a card that was not issued to her. Over a period of days in the beginning of August 2026, Washington used the card at several locations without the owner’s permission. An application for charges was completed, which resulted in the summons. Washington was served and released pending her trial.

 

ARRESTED: Brittany Maria-Nicole Washington, 35, Cumberland, MD.

CHARGES: Theft less than $1,500, Credit Card Theft.
