Bridge Street Arrest

On Friday, August 28, 2026, Cumberland Police Department Officers were on patrol in the area of Bridge Street when they observed Ivan Valentin, who had an active arrest warrant. The warrant was issued after Valentin failed to appear in court in a littering case. A search of his person incident to arrest yielded controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia. An additional warrant through Mineral County, West Virginia, was located for Valentin. He was transported to the Allegany County Detention Center pending extradition.

ARRESTED: Ivan Candelaria Valentin, 40, Cumberland, MD.
CHARGES: Failure to Appear (Littering), CDS Paraphernalia Possession, Violation of Probation (Fugitive, West Virginia).
