Decrease In Casino Income In August

Maryland’s six casinos combined to generate $160-million dollars in revenue during the month of August. It was a 6% decrease from August of last year. Contributions to the state in the form of tax revenue for the month were also down, with $68.5 million collected. Five of the state’s six casinos had down months, including Rocky Gap which saw a 4.1% decrease from the same month last year, taking in $4.7 million in August.
