East Fourth Street Arson Arrerst

On Thursday, September 10th, 2026, the Cumberland Police Department arrested Amanda Lee Iliff-Williams, 33, of Cumberland MD. Iliff-Williams was arrested on an active warrant issued by the Allegany County District Court on July 20th, 2026. The warrant is the result of an investigation conducted by the Cumberland City and Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office regarding a fire incident that occurred in the 400 block of E. Fourth St on July 9th, 2026. During that incident, Cumberland Fire and Police units responded to the scene of a suspicious fire at an occupied residence. During the investigation, Iliff-Williams was developed as a suspect and evidence indicated she intentionally set fire to the property. Iliff-Williams appeared before a District Court Commissioner for an Initial Appearance and was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center. She is being held without bond.
