FSU Appalachian Festival This Weekend

Frostburg State University’s Appalachian Festival returns for its 21^st year running Thursday through Saturday. The free event celebrates the region’s history and culture through performances and workshops including a presentation by local historian Al Feldstein on Western Maryland’s role in the nation’s development. This year’s festival theme, “Dynamic Appalachia: Commemorating Our Region’s Role in U.S. History,” highlights the region’s rich contributions to the nation’s story.
