Trump Revokes Order For Chesapeake Bay Restoration

President Trump on Thursday signed an executive order revoking a 17-year old directive signed by President Obama that declared the Chesapeake Bay a national treasure and established a federal strategy for protection and restoration of the Bay and its watershed. Maryland’s federal delegation released a statement saying the program provided vital federal resources to improve the health and productivity of the Bay and that removing federal backing undermines its future health along with businesses and communities that depend on it.
