Park Street Assault, Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest

On September 24, 2026, Cumberland Police Department officers responded to a restaurant on Park Street for a report of a female customer causing a disturbance. Cumberland Police Dispatch advised responding officers that multiple calls had been received regarding a female inside the restaurant who was yelling. Two calls were received from customers, and an additional call was received from a restaurant employee. Officers advised the female multiple times to leave the business, but she refused to comply. She became argumentative and continued to disrupt business operations. Officers subsequently advised her that she was under arrest. As officers attempted to place the female in handcuffs, she actively resisted. Officers escorted her from the restaurant. She assaulted two officers during the process and assaulted another officer while being placed into a police vehicle. During the arrest, officers located suspected crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia in the female’s possession. The female, identified as Aleesha Danielle Lavin, was transported to the Allegany County Detention Center. Following a bond hearing with an Allegany County District Court Commissioner, Lavin was released on an unsecured personal bond.
