Public Notice Mayor and City Council of Cumberland Meeting

The Mayor and City Council of Cumberland will meet in public session beginning at 4:00 p.m. in the 2nd floor Conference Room of City Hall on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 for the purpose of immediately closing the meeting to A) discuss departmental and administrative reorganization, changes regarding particular employees’ responsibilities, and other personnel matters incidental thereto; B) consider the acquisition of real property and for discussions about acquiring interests in real property, whether by purchase, lease, or easement; and C) receive advice from the City Solicitor on a legal matter in regard to code enforcement. Authority to close the session is provided by Sections 3-305(b)(1), (b)(3) and (b)(7) of the General Provisions Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland.

The Open Work Session will then begin at 5:00 p.m. in the 2nd floor Conference Room.

The Mayor and City Council’s regularly scheduled Public Meeting will be held at 6:15 p.m. in the 2nd Floor Council Chambers.
