Frederick Street Intoxicated Public Disturbance, Disorderly Conduct Arrerst

On Tuesday, October 6, 2026, Cumberland Police Department Officers responded to a business in the 300 Block of Frederick Street for the report of an assault in progress. Upon arrival, Officers located several individuals inside the store. One of the individuals, who was later identified as Alonzo Smith, made several attempts to hinder the investigation and was subsequently placed under arrest. He was transported to the Allegany County Detention Center, where he was released on a $5,000 bond pending his trial.

ARRESTED: Alonzo Wesley Smith, 58, Cumberland, MD.
CHARGES: Obstructing and Hindering, Intoxicated Public Disturbance, Disorderly Conduct.
